Getting Serious
Guys, I think it’s about time I started getting SERIOUS about my career in the comic book “biz.” So at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con I’m going to get in line to have my work evaluated by the superhero people. Here’s my sketch:
It’s not too bad, I guess. 100% digital artwork this time.
I’m REALLY hoping for one of those “exclusive” deals from Marvel Comics, but man, I dunno… There are a LOT of talented people out there looking for work right now, and I’m not sure I got the muscles exactly right. I just wanted him to look like a REAL guy, you know? Like someone you might see out on the street fighting a fire or whatever.
God, so much competition though… Maybe I should do more than one drawing.
still better than rob liefeld’s version.
Will, tell us about Liefeld!

Hmmm, it’s kinda out of proportions.
Dang, Will stole my thunder. I was going to say that!
I demand a 24×36 high quality print of this right now. It shall be hung in every room of my house.
Ugh. I give up. There’s no way I’ll ever draw a Wolvreen as good as this one. http://tinyurl.com/2c2uyjq
It can’t be any worse than what they already have. And at least they haven’t stooped to capitalizing on creating a character with an enormous cleavage (*cough*powergirl*cough*)
The only people who are viewed as good at drawing those marvel guys are the people who draw NOTHING else. You should draw captain America in your style. That is so anti-superheros (Captain Sweden?) that the biggies at marvel will shit themself and then cry. I would ask for that as a commision. But I’m broke at the moment.
Actually that kinda reminds me of a depiction by Sergio Aragones that I have around somewhere….
looks ok to me
You’ve stolen my art style! :O I was going to make millions with it. MILLIONS.
Very dynamic pose, you have there…It really makes you *think*, yanno?
Such depth, such mystery, such awesomeness. I say go for it.
