I’m trying to figure out if I’m relieved that there isn’t a monster, or simply left unsettled by V floating up through the fountain. Either way, great job!
V’s starting to seem like a bit of a narcissist. Perhaps she’s been a celebrity so long she doesn’t know what it’s like to live a normal life, i.e. visiting the aquarium without putting yourself in the fishbowl? Her parents were both famous and seemed eager enough to embrace that life for their child, whereas Serenity’s always tried to avoid the fame that various factions have tried to thrust upon her. Hmmmm.
Indeed! I’ve been hoping we will get to “know” V beyond the fame and the whole “being Seras mentor” thing. She don’t really seem to ever be in an situation where she has the upper hand in everything. I’ve always wonder if there is more to her intrest to Sera than she shows. Perhaps a small piece of jelousy? How would V react if Sera turned up to be a more powerfull witch than she?
So far she’s mostly only been used as a foil to Sera’s utter lack of self-confidence, so naturally everything she does appears perfect. Also this is all told through the perspective of Sera, who idolizes V so heavily.
I think the teacher-student relationship will get a lot more interesting as Sera continues to learn and come into her own… rivalry is definitely a possibility, although I’d hope V wouldn’t turn out to be that graceless. We shall see!
im starting to think the same thing… i mean i know she believes in not doing things small…but in some cases its best to just use the damn front door and not clamor for attention…i would just like to see a vulnerable moment with V…you cant maintain an air of confidence forever…
I agree entirely about wanting to see some vulnerability. Human V, rather than uber-witch-rockstar-V. Then again, what sort of concept of “normal” does she even have? Would she *ever* use the front door, when she could just reshape the wall or lift the roof with about the same amount of effort? Do we keep seeing V in rockstar mode because she’s excited and showing off a bit for her new student, or is she maybe really like that all the time?
The emotional/character possibilities for “super perfect mentor of awesomeness” seem rather limited. I’m looking forward to seeing where Mr A takes V as a character, and Sera’s relationship with her.
As a witch, why wouldn’t you do that? Do we know that she always uses the same kind of entrance, like the scene above, to get where she is. I can only imagine she is constantly honing her abilities, using new and creative ways to do menial tasks. Isn’t that, in part, what she is trying to teach to Sera? Who needs a human moment when you are so much more than that. F*** it.

Vicious sure knows how to make an entrance.
Heck, she must like explode out of a thousand trolleys at the entrance to Tesco.
The show must go on! 😉
I’m starting to wonder if there’s a point to all this V masturbation???
She really knows how to make an entrance, doesn’t she?
