“Merkinsniffers”, HAW! Pepporfort’s picture reminds me of John Cleese for some reason.
John Cleese has killed WAY more witches than Peter Pepperfort. WAY more.
Well due, it’s Hollywood. They can’t even cast people from foreign countries even if the movie takes place outside america. 😉
Even when Hollywood LIKES your movies, they have to Americanify them. They went to the trouble of RE-MAKING Let the Right One In, the best horror film of the past decade, for no other reason than to eliminate all that pesky “foreign language” business in there. (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is on the way next!)
Even if they like it AND it’s already American, they still have to “up-Hollywodify” it…. like, f’rinstance, if it’s a genre-redefining science fiction/horror film made in 1979 with a female protagonist or something…
(‘Doh! My bad, I totally forgot the monsters were designed by some German guy or sumthin’. Naturally *that’s* gotta be fixed!)
Oh, kewl, you seen those? Let The Right One In is probably the ONLY good horror movie done over, but I’m really glad it got made cause of that. And it was real good looking too. Haven’t seen the movies based on Steig Larsons books. The hype about them was so big over here that you got sick of it before they came out. Beside we do way too many “police thrillers” or whatever they are called.
haha british people
I really like that outfit.
I’ve been hoping someone else would ask… could we clueless Yanks get a little help with the Briticisms here? Every time I read the question, all I come up with are those wretched creatures sold around Easter time….
I don’t think “peepmellow” has any extra-special meaning in the UK. Channie’s just having a bit of fun, innit.
Oh V, celebrating your British roots must be hard with such awful stereotypes floating around.
I’ll have to side with Ben Franklin on this one, because 2 things about Pepperfort’s story get to me:
1. Not all witches (I hope not) wear such tacky little hats
2. Good luck taking a hatchet to someone who could make it into a pineapple with a the bat of an eyelash. <3
Never trust a haberdasher.
tl;dr
Yay! Amongst the screaming ranks of other questions, I was the Chosen One!
Ah, laziness, the obvious culprit. Why did I never suspect you?
